Lime Leaves Ground 25g |
| A-Z Herbs and Spices |
Lime Leaves (Citrus hystrix) are often called Kaffir Lime Leaves. They come from a thorny bush native to Indonesia and are widely used in Asian cuisines, being most commonly associated with Thai dishes. The taste is very characteristic and not easily described being a mixture of lemon/lime with sour overtones with a strong refreshing and clean aroma. Ground leaves are useful for making a curry paste or adding to a soup.
Not to be confused with European Lime tree (Linden) leaves |
